One Country Project Commends Launch of USDA Rural Partners Network

WASHINGTON, D.C.– Today, One Country Project founder Heidi Heitkamp issued the following statement after the Biden administration announced the launch of the Rural Partners Network (RPN):

“The announcement of the Rural Partners Network led by the U.S. Department of Agriculture shows a real commitment from the Biden administration to deliver for rural communities. After passing historic levels of funding through the American Rescue Plan and bipartisan infrastructure law, this is the Administration’s clear next step to follow through and deliver resources for rural Americans.

“In order to provide what rural communities need, government leaders must be on the ground day in and day out. The RPN initiative will help create a direct line of access to resources so that rural Americans can match available funds with projects to strengthen their communities. Having federal government leaders on the ground as partners for rural communities will help ensure those residents receive an equal share of government investment.”
