One Country Project Relaunches The Hot Dish Podcast

Former Senator Heidi Heitkamp Resumes Her Role as The Hot Dish Host

WASHINGTON, D.C. One Country Project (OCP) today announced the launch of The Hot Dish, a monthly podcast that addresses issues and topics of importance to rural voters across America. The Hot Dish was originally launched in 2017 by former North Dakota senator and OCP co-founder Heidi Heitkamp.

The inaugural episode features One Country co-founder and former Senator Joe Donnelly and data pollster Doug Usher in conversation about why OCP was created and how data informs the messaging of the organization.

“Recording The Hot Dish was one of my favorite memories while I was in the Senate,” said Senator Heitkamp. “I’m so excited we are bringing it back for One Country Project and I can’t wait to dive in on all the important issues that rural Americans care about.”

“The Hot Dish is the perfect vehicle to get our messaging across in a nontraditional way,” added Senator Donnelly. “Podcasts are becoming more and more popular and appealing to audiences who might not always follow traditional media. As Democrats look for ways to engage with rural voters, it is things like this, where we talk and listen to each other, that can help reopen the dialogue with rural voters.”

Future episodes will focus on a wide variety of issues, ranging from rural health care to manufacturing, and guests will include One Country board members, rural voters, and policy experts.

The Hot Dish is available to stream for free on Anchor.
